Durham Region Speech-Language Pathology

Starting as early as birth, children begin to develop communication skills that will help them succeed in school and later in life. At least 1 in 10 children will require help to develop appropriate communication skills. Without this help, a child may struggle to talk and listen, learn to read and write or engage in play and interactions with other children.

Grandview Kids’ Preschool Speech and Language Program, and our Speech-Language Pathology team address difficulties in the following areas:

  • Social Skills – interacting with others
  • Talking – using language
  • Listening – understanding language
  • Articulation/Pronunciation – speech production
  • Fluency – speaking fluently without stuttering
  • Voice
